Is it still good?
Is it worth more than what I paid 25 years ago?

It is still very good but no better than when it was bottled (Cognac does not age in the bottle). Napoleon is better than VS and VSOP about the same grade as XO. It has not gained much value in 25 years. Maybe worth $75-$100 not much more. If you post a picture I can confirm.

Also curious if I do open it , does it go bad eventually ?

It will start losing alcohol content but it can stay good for many years (20-30 years) but eventually there will be very little left even if you don't drink it.
