Gran Marnier

Okay, so I finally got to try this stuff. XO Cognac mixed with orange liqueur. It was a nice change of pace but I would not buy an entire bottle of it. It was pleasant in that there isn't too much orange liqueur added so the sweetness wasn't too unbearable. I'd offer this to a lady friend if they didn't care for the dryness of straight Cognac.

On the subject of Marnier I believe they should concentrate on pure cognac a bit more because I happened to grab a sample of their VSOP and it was very nice, quite spicy for a cognac and it is a very welcome change of profile. I'm not even sure they still sell an XO nowadays...
