Nose: Ah, this is more on the usual grappa notes, but more honeyed and syrupy with age. Estery, vanilla, and some of the same buttery/oily funk notes hold the top layer as dense grapes, pomace, flowers, tangerines, and sweet lemon hold out the rest. Rough/rubbing alcohol flits around below that. Spicy and extracted honey with drops of fruit and wildflowers.
Palate: Honey sweet and rather sour as well. Honey, fruit, oak/vanilla, and more flowers -- boosted/aided here by all that underlying funk. Flavorful and packs a punch above its ABV-weight. No rough edges here or harsh straight alcohol note.
Finish: More floral and on mashed raisins, gently (not intense). The notes from the nose and palate come here, and the finish is a bit brief. A gentle and pleasant sipper. B-
