Francois Peyrot Heritage

End of the road for this extraordinary cognac. Gave myself a generous pour for a clean sendoff. Anyone who knows where I can get a bottle of this stateside, please let me know.

Re: Davidoff Cognac

And this one from August... Sun 05 Aug 2018, 03:37 I am drinking 'Davidoff Classic' today. The current production is a VSOP by Hine, if I am not mistaken. This old bottle was made by Hennessey, and for sure it's not a VSOP. With the complexity and mouth feel of this spirit, I am compelled to believe...

A fantastic cognac that I had opened a while back. It's still bursting with scent of wildflowers. Notes of honey. Can smell this cognac from clear across the room. Oaky. 43% Abv. Medium length.

1974 L'Encantada Le Sable Bas Armagnac

1974 L'Encantada Le Sable Bas Armagnac
40.1% ABV
Aged 42 years

Fruit forward. Rich complex flavors fill up the mouth. Dry. Medium finish. Glad it's not too sweet. A good sign that this is a pure, unadulterated creation.

This is all Baco. Single Cask. Pure uncut, unfiltered good stuff.

Prunier Family Reserve

Caramel. Bitter. Dark fruit. Guess not all 'family reserves' are created equal. This one is clearly aiming for the masses.

15-35 years old. 40% ABV

I am setting it aside and come back to it later.

Cognac Roulleau X.O.

Cognac Roulleau X.O.

At 47% abv.; surprisingly not much alcohol burn. This is a Petite Champagne creation. Caramel. Oaky (and for my bottle special, corky  ).

Anyone who knows more about this house, please fill in.

GUILLON PAINTURAUD HORS D'AGE

Tasted this bottle yesterday. Does anyone else who's had this also thinks that it's as amazing as what the pros were reviewing it?

Re: Additive-free armagnac

Chateau de Leberon and her sister estate Domaine d'Aurensan both has very pure unadulterated Armagnacs. Try them out if you come across a bottle. They are becoming increasingly hard to find.
